Wonderful game summary and status update of the team and organization as always. Just wondering, if Montembault is unable to go on Sunday, who gets the call-up to be Dobes’ backup…Primeau or Fowler?

Numerous chances, but no finish.

One problem is that Vance is next in line…not much improvement there, could even be worse. After him is Speaker of the House, Johnson. Equally horrendous. After him comes 91 year old Chuck Grassley (President pro tempore of the Senate). What a line-up !😱

With RRSPs melting before our eyes, untold millions down south whose carefully saved 401K are disappearing, the emmense stress and worry is monumental. Sadly, health care systems are ill equipped to handle tidal wave of stress induced illness. Not sure where the humor is. All of it so unnecessary.

It’s unfortunate Quebec Anglo universities have been hamstrung by curtailments in international student enrollments and severe reductions in funding such that universities must cut current staff, and are unable to take advantage of situation to recruit new talent seeking to come north.

Agree with this view, effective and meaningful reimagining requires political power which means winning election with a majority. Otherwise, it’s only op-ed musings.

Americans at the time believed the local populace would welcome the soldiers with open arms. It was not the case and they met much hostility from the locals. History repeats itself as Americans cannot conceive that Canadians wouldn’t want to be American. American “Exceptionalism” at its ugliest.

Absolutely ridiculous. This is the ultimate showcase of North American hockey.

Not sure what concern is? Most Apple AI tasks are handle on device without going outside, data remains in the on-device Secure Enclave. Any outside task handled in Private Secure Cloud, encrypted with no personal data transferred. Once task is complete, data immediately deleted. Apple has no access.

Suspect the altitude of Denver may be a factor in the choice. Have read that it may be extra draining and there is the game in Vancouver on Monday.

Can’t forget that due to his self-inflicted circumstances, he lost a great deal of development time in the OHL due to suspension. As a result he likely needs more time to catch up compared to others.

Tough to make a solid leadership run from within cabinet. Getting outside gives more time to do the neccessary groundwork behind the scenes.

You and Eric seem to have sightly different view of game. Is it merely a case of different focus…you long term “centered” on rebuild, Eric on game itself. He appears to write there were significant issues despite win. Am I reading it wrong? Either way blessed to have 2 hockey minds on Habs beat.

Available in Quebec for $50 CAD, so should cost about $15 USD?

I don't think anyone is overlooking all the things that can happen in a season, but it does provide some perspective as to Caufield's season so far with respect to other elite snipers in the league.

Initial expectations for Dach post injury were always unrealistic. Very often takes the 2nd year of playing post reconstruction to see full recovery. See this a lot with football players, hockey shouldn’t be different.

I’m becoming fully invested here as more and more of those I follow come over. This place and the wargamers.social mastodon site fill my social media itch very nicely.

Don't disagree, but I think blind loyalty is also a big factor. Publicly supporting him over the past couple of years is being rewarded with cabinet and other plum admin posts.
