There was an intense local campaign to get the Iron Duke reopened, but due to "pressure" from the neighbouring Haven caravan park (allegedly) the local council, permission was refused and it's going to be converted into some sort of fast food place.

Even if it was sustainable, to bring wood from Canada is farcical. To subsidise it by £2M a day unacceptable. And if it is ancient woodland, it's absolutely scandalous.
