Sacramento showed up!

Welcome to 2025. Clearly off to an inauspicious start….

Now he has dementia. He has slowed down in the last year. He still loves visiting with friends and neighbors. And he has made it to 12! Happy Birthday, Doc! You are a very good boy.

At age nine we found he had cancer a second time; this time it was melanoma on his lip. His recovery from surgery was much easier this time.

He spends his days with his two ginger cats, meeting people on walks, and making everyone smile.

He gave us a scare when he had nail-bed melanoma when he was just seven years old. After a toe amputation and a few months to recover, he was back in action. Our goal has to cherish every day we have with him.

Today Doc Holiday (spelled to reflect the season) turned 12 years old. My dude has been a faithful goofy companion ready to bestow kisses and giggle-worthy feats of folly daily. He spent his first six years eating socks like they were Pringles.
