The older that I get, the less I believe I can make a difference on the global stage.
My focus now is where I can make an impact: my home, my family, my neighbors and my local community.
Volunteering in my town is 1000x more impactful than yelling about global politics, and I'm staying (sorta) sane

Where is there a silver lining? We need to make one. The rise of technology has reduced community connection and neighbors giving their time helping one another. Maybe the fall of support from the federal government can help bring back real community support.
Maybe we can make it happen.
