The point in the book is that trying to do the exact right thing all the time results in not doing anything at all. Maybe just let builders build. The regulations to build affordable housing are INSANE.

I feel like this misses the point of the book. Does Florida actually have abundance? Clearly not. And if the alternative is California, isn’t a train for tourists better than a $30 billion train that doesn’t carry anyone?

Software companies are often at the forefront of pushing for green energy. If there is going to be a nuclear resurgence in America, it’s likely to start with Microsoft forcing it through. The DOE and others say nuclear is critical to a zero-carbon future.

That’s my pick as well. Good field but Bauman stands out as the most likely to get things done.

What are we doing here, people???

It seems like Bauman is likely to be the most effective and practical, hence my support for him. It feels like Brower should be running for Congress given his platform (and I support a lot of his ideas o. The principles).

Universities will likely be worried that Trump will unilaterally cut off all research dollars to them unless they comply, which would be on theme. Obama would never go that far.

It’s also not something that the president really has control over. This is entirely administered by states.

This isn’t a thing the federal government does, though. It’s lol administered by states.

“But my family lives in Los Angeles.”

“Too bad, you’re moving to Gary, Indiana.”
