I am on the towpath of the now drained Bridgewater canal at Dunham Massey. The embankment is breached about 100 m ahead. Erosion as the canal section drained has deepened the canal channel. In the distance you can see damage to the viaduct across the River Bollin.

Mince pies were 17p for a pack of 4 at the Sainsbury’s in Manchester Piccadilly Station. Good job I only bought 1 box.
