Does anyone know why Veteran's Day was briefly moved from November 11th to the fourth Monday in October when the government moved to the Uniform Monday Holiday Act?
Anyone have any idea?

Back in the early days of Ant-Man, his method of getting around town was to literally CATAPULT himself, and then command ants to cushion his fall with their bodies.
Amusingly, though, sometimes he would miscalculate, and it was just up to ant ingenuity to keep Hank from splattering against a wall.

I adore that our first introduction to Commissioner Gordon and Bruce Wayne was the two of them hanging out and then, when Gordon hears about a crime, he tells his buddy… See more

New concept. The Pop Culture Peter Principle, where you just continue to heap praise on to a project until it hits a point where it cannot sustain all the praise. Scream can't just be a very good horror movie, it has to have SAVED THE HORROR GENRE.

Part of the problem is that the ballot is getting crowded due to these first ballot hall of famers who aren't in because of steroids, but people won't leave off of the final Veterans Committee ballot, but the idea of Lou Whitaker not even making the final vote... it's just absurd.

Look how I don't even need to say anything anymore. I just step forward, and he backs off, as he KNOWS he's not supposed to be eating her food (he has readily accessible food in his bowl any time he wants it).

NYCC is filled with great original comic books, like the world premiere of Ryan Dunlavey's Bad Guy, about a guy who finds himself spiraling into the world of supervillainy. Told in broad, bombastic strokes by Dunlavey, this is just one example of the cool new stuff that creators are up to at NYCC.

Perfect example of how he'll try to take her food, and she'll let him, and all you need to do is to say his name, and he'll concede that he's being a dick, and go eat his own food.

Absolutely no shade intended, as the reason these things are popular is BECAUSE they are so believable, but with that in mind, if you ever see a social media thing like "Famous person X turns down endorsement deal for principled reason," just quickly do an online search for it. 99.9% it's fake.

I mean, we all know they're full of it, of course, but it still kills me how much nuTwitter tries to claim it's all about freedom of expression and then puts their thumb on the scale in its summations of trending stories. Any impartial summation of this trend would never describe it this way.

TFW Superman is fighting three Kryptonian villains in front of you for the fate of humanity, and there is chaos and destruction all around you, but, I mean, come on, you can't be expected to stop eating your ice cream cone, can you (until that dick Zod blows your ice cream away, of course)?

I think it'd be funny if Superman hadn't even CONSIDERED going back in time to change history if his dad hadn't kept reiterating not to do it. Sort of like the Kids in the Hall sketch about not throwing salt in your eyes.

Speaking of the whole Bob Kane/Todd McFarlane deal, here's the first time Bob Kane revealed his "new" Batman art, along with the McFarlane "Batman: Year Two" image he used for his "new" art, and then McFarlane's hilarious retort to the controversy on an Amazing Heroes cover.

On the one hand, being "in the Epstein files" is absolutely meaningless, and it's frankly outrageous to use it to insinuate wrongdoing by someone. On the other hand, Trump posted the other day that Biden was, like, a fucking clone or a cyborg or some stupid shit, so it's hard to feel bad for him.

I don't know about you, but I appreciate when my scam emails are at least friendly about it. "Here's a friendly reminder about our scam email. We're very polite folks trying to trick you into giving us your money."

I really don't like the reporting on the death of Jonathan Joss. The guy who killed him is BEING CHARGED WITH MURDER. The fact pattern sure sounds exactly like murder. So why not "Jonathan Joss allegedly murdered by neighbor"? "Dies in shooting" "Fatally shot" It all seems way too mealy-mouthed.
