Just because I'm a bit of a history nerd and can't not say anything, the article mentions the 82nd dropping into Vietnam and Afghanistan, not to down play but the 82nd was even more notably the division that dropped alongside the 101st into Normandy, ahead of D-Day, in WW2.

I applaud the bold colors and the heavy layers. The color placement gives a chaotic feel while the prominence of the warm colors speaks of warning or impending trouble. Fire. The general interpretation of the viewer may be of the immolation of the negative energy the character is about to unleash.

I usually step away for a while then kick into art critic mode and start analyzing the details to see what it is specifically that I hate about my work.
Then I will contemplate setting everything on fire. Then remember that I don't have money to rebuild... So I just do some touch up instead.
