I think the numbers go up just from a relative absence of bad news and people tuning out the bad stuff to the point it becomes background noise. And possibly the Supreme Court overturns the tariffs, saving him from one of his most self-defeating policies.

I read Edward Luttwak arguing that the CIA should be recruiting Americans who spent significant time abroad or were even born abroad. But they don’t trust them and instead recruit Mormons.

It’s a common spy novel/movie trope about the guy who speaks multiple foreign languages with an accent indistinguishable from a native. But in reality the people who can do that with a language learned as an adult are exceedingly rare, if they exist at all.

Supreme Court reform is tough. In the best case scenario, dems have 51, maybe 52 senators and at least a couple of them will have to be from reddish purple states and will balk st serious scotus reform.
