Calligrapha is an apt name for this genus of beetle. Woburn, MA. I have only seen two of these during my years of taking macro pics!

Origami cicada, designed and folded by me from one square of paper.

I've designed about 4 or 5 cicadas over the past 20 years, but this one has that vibe I was looking for. The timing was right since I completed it last year, during the historic cicada emergence.

Red rock crab (Cancer irroratus) origami, designed and folded by me. This is a variation of a crab design I did almost 20 years ago.

When I'm on other platforms, I divide my macro photos to separate channel. I'm thinking now, why complicate things? Here's a fly.

I found myself in LA without a 3D printer, so I crafted this prop the traditional way, with paper, knife, and glue.

Let me know if the proper nudity filters are working. I do like that we have the option to tag our work appropriately rather than see everything banned with inconsistent criteria.

My most recent project, the armor suit from the anime Mospeada from the 1980s. I got to meet Shinji Aramaki and Keiichiro Maeno, anime and toy designers who worked on the real thing!

I designed the suit using Onshape and printed out the pieces on my custom 3D printer.
