ya I'm back to using Gmail on both ios and web.

I like it unified, but also filtered and grouped into easily tabbable views. Gmail's multiple inboxes is so frustratingly limited.

Composer is super impressive. Very close in quality to Sonnet 4.5, but sooo much faster.

It's time to move beyond "how can AI help me do this faster?" and ask "given what me + AI can do, what should my process actually be?"

AI models and tools have drastically improved. So the tools aren't the bottleneck. We are. Still clinging to traditional processes instead of rethinking them from the ground up for this new era.

With software? Most of us (me included) are still following a mostly traditional process. AI tools make that process faster, but we haven't necessarily unlocked a drastic creative leap with corresponding business results.

I find different types of work are further along in this story than others.

With writing, I've completely reimagined my process. I speak my raw idea to Claude, it handles multiple drafts, I polish the final edit. The result? Not just faster, but dramatically better output—and I publish more.

Totally.

I get that they won't promote competitors models. But even deciding between Claude Opus 4.1 vs. Claude Sonnet 4.5 is a toss-up for me lately. Especially for writing.

- Only once so far I had to step in to resolve (on an unusual billing issue).

- Only 20% of time I felt the AI answer was off in some way, so I improved the training.
