They speak to the level their base comprehends. Middle America and rural voters are deer in headlights when talking tech or global economics. It’s not important to them. That’s where we (dems) lose the plot and then lose elections.

We don’t listen. We judge & preach, and call it teaching. We push too hard in the wrong direction and not enough where we have similarities.
