Tomorrow marks the beginning of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth, a time to reflect, and recommit to saving lives. In 2025, 7,600 Virginians will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 1,100 will lose their lives to the disease. We can do better, and we will!

This morning, I had the privilege of visiting schools in our community w/ Tracy Blake, to celebrate the first day of the new academic year. The energy was infectious. I wish all students, teachers, parents, & staff a successful school year! 📚🍎

It was an honor to join @bobbyscott.house.gov and @underwood.house.gov for a roundtable discussion on the landmark passage of the #VirginiaMomnibus, which includes 12 new laws and $7M in funding dedicated to improving maternal health outcomes across the Commonwealth.

While we celebrate this achievement, we must remember that food insecurity affects 43% of households in Prince William County. Let’s keep the momentum going. Please consider donating to your local food bank so that every neighbor has access to essential, nutritious food.

The first PWC Hunger Free Campaign event was a success! Thanks to the incredible dedication of our coalition of community advocates, we raised $5,296 today to help stock local food pantries for the summer. I even took a plunge in the dunk tank to encourage donations!

I am honored to again receive the endorsement of @ppava.bsky.social. I am proud to have voted for the Reproductive Freedom Amendment, and will again in 2026. Virginians should be able to make decisions about their reproductive health with their doctors, and I will fight for that right.

Words cannot fully express what Congressman Gerry Connolly meant to me, both personally and professionally. His passing leaves me, like so many, heartbroken yet deeply committed to continuing the fight he so fiercely believe in.

What began as a casual conversation after a congressional field hearing in Prince William County led to five incredibly rewarding years of service as a member of his staff. Years filled with purpose, passion, service, and the laying of the firm foundation on which I govern to this day. While Fairfax County may have been where Gerry laid his head at night, you wouldn’t know it based upon how much time he spent in Prince William County. To us, he was more than our congressman, Gerry was our neighbor and our friend. He was always ready to extend a helping hand, provide wise counsel and deliver a perfectly-timed quip with a twinkle in his eye and a smirk on his face. When many gave up on Prince William County, Gerry did not, he saw potential. He listened, deeply listened, and fought like hell for every voice to be heard. The same fire he brought to Capitol Hill, Gerry brought to our community and all who stood in the way of justice. He showed me, and so many others, what it means to show up, to fight, and most importantly, to deliver. To Smitty and Caitlin: Thank you for sharing Gerry with us. His legacy lives on in every life he touched, every community he lifted, and in the values he instilled in all of us privileged to work alongside him. To the residents of Prince William County: I grieve with you as I continue to fight for you, represent you, and deliver for you. Gerry never gave up, and neither will I. Rest well, Gerry. We’ll take it from here. #ForeverTeamConnolly"

Thank you to Freedom Virginia for naming me a 2025 Affordability Champion! This year, we made meaningful progress toward making life more affordable for Virginians. We took on hidden fees, pushed for truth in pricing, and once again championed the creation of a Paid Family and Medical Leave program.

Today, the House of Delegates' Emergency Committee on Federal Workforce and Funding Reductions is meeting at @virginiatech.bsky.social ’s Innovation Campus in Alexandria to hear presentations on the economic impacts of the Trump Administration on the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Only 30 percent of the jobs in Northern Virginia are comparable to the jobs loss due to the federal reduction in workforce. If DOGE gets what they want ( a 75 percent reduction in federal employment), Virginia would experience a 9.6 percent unemployment rate.

Gov. Youngkin vetoed paid family and medical leave once again turning his back on hardworking Virginians. Our families deserve better. I will keep fighting to make PFML a reality so no one has to choose between paying the bills and being there for their loved ones. #VaLeg #PFML💪🏾

Thank you to the Occoquan Democratic Committee for inviting me to provide an update on the 2025 General Assembly legislative session. I was pleased to get 10 bills to the Governor's desk for signature, and to pass a strong budget that works for residents of the 25th District and beyond.
