Sick Devon! Love all of it but the integration of Autocomplete into these other components is fantastic!

Is the plan for the starter kit to get more robust?

On thing for sure, if I can learn from this setup and offer something similar to my own design system users (built with RAC), that would be amazing.

This is super slick — and the other post you made (bsky.app/profile/devo...) looks great too.

I’m curious though… for me, RAC is something I build on top of in a design system component library, and it’s UI-less. How do you see folks using these examples in that context?
There are live prop controls on each example which update the code as you interact with them, and options for opening in codesandbox/stackblitz/etc. too!

Nice. I always get requests to do this on tables in case it is overflowing but the cutoff happens in a way that you can’t tell that there is more.

I’ll give this a try, maybe layer in container query width?

🤔
Can I come work for you? That would be the absolute best change of scenery I could possibly think of.

I just happen to be working for a company that is under a venture capitalist structure that demands fast delivery to product, and have those types of pressures put onto a design system.

I want to follow up here:
I absolutely believe that StyleX is the best CSS framework out there. What is will save you in the future through its careful and deliberate structure and approach is monumental compared to the time it takes to configure it. Next is dead simple to set up, for example…
May 26, 2025 at 1:44 AM
But actually most my teams use Next.

I’m still poking at it though.

My biggest issue is that I am trying to build my company’s design system library using StyleX, but getting pressure from product that it’s not easy enough to set up. It’s unreasonable, I know, but still something I deal with.

I’m happy for any work on StyleX that makes setting up easier. To that point, is there a reason to focus on Vite plugin and not the CLI? The CLI seems like your (albeit temporary?) magic bullet to resolve “installation and setup” woes.

I’m in that “set up a Vite template” discussion on GitHub…

Anyways, thanks again for the library and also for dealing with me on the StyleX GitHub discussion board. Constantly bugging you there and you are very helpful.

I would agree though, that the only grief I still have to manage from teams using my DS is the implementation and configuration into their applications.
April 26, 2025 at 2:23 AM
I can easily spout off all the reasons why I made my choice, and how, after using it, I have come to realize how it guides you to use best practices. Additionally, it constantly saves you from dealing with many issues. But you won’t know it because you’re not dealing with them.
April 26, 2025 at 2:20 AM
I have been using StyleX in my design system for over a year now. I sweated and labored over the choice of what CSS framework I was going to choose for not only my DS, but essentially for any new greenfield work that would be using it to build.

Over this year I have become very happy with my choice

On the documentation site for RAC I mean.

When you scroll to the bottom of the search ListBox, when you reach the bottom it auto closes.

Just a tiny thing but drives me nuts.

Assuming this isn’t bad news for StyleX? 🤞

May I ask why? Personal or requirement?

The Adam Family Home Computer over here, if you remember that one. Used carriages and tape cassette.

Time for retro yet?

I feel like we’re so close to a multiselect.

Which, honestly, I’m expecting because I just finished building one with React Aria Components. But I’m very excited to see how you solve the issue.

Gah. paid = pairs
February 21, 2025 at 3:37 AM
It paid nicely too with StyleX’s mental model
