Brian Krebs - Software Dev

I am NOT the cyber reporter, but an Ohio based software developer of about 20 years from COBOL to full stack/cloud in my career, I’ve done a lot but am a technologist at heart. Sometimes Professor, heart of a mentor and proud girl dad. Not a reporter.
I guess the disconcerting part to me is that Elon saying, we’ve found irregularities such as someone who is 150 collecting social security to Fox News - is giving the beast a sound byte, that is likely not reliable. Sounds 1/2 baked.

Real work happens when people go through triage processes.

So, as a dev, if I find a production problem. I then report the bug, or concerning issue in the data to management and then prepare a small 5-10 slide presentation for management (c-team, dir level)with proof.

Press conferences with cherry picked data points aren’t convincing to skeptics.

I’m finishing up a project that is c# and staring down the barrel of going back to es6 and Angular again. LOL, context switching is nuts sometimes.

Rewatching the original #KarateKid movie. I did not catch when I was a youth, that while Mr. Myagi was serving in the German theater in WW2, his wife, pregnant with their child died in childbirth in a Japanese Internment Camp, which were known for their harsh living conditions.

Watching the Eagles play with a great line, great secondary, great running back and great QB. I am reminded how damn far the #Browns are from the superbowl. It might as well be the moon.

Congrats Eagles fans for being up 27-0 and looking at the chiefs bench, they are in shock. #superbowl

I don’t like rap, so that halftime show wasn’t my cup of tea. I was hoping for at least a little singing. Ah well.

In this Super Bowl, I am rooting for the Chiefs. Only because Mahomes family also has food allergies and spreads the good word and has given generously to foodallergy.org

There is no better source for truth and info about food allergies than the non-profit who also does lobbying.
FoodAllergy.org
FARE is the largest private funder of food allergy research advocating on behalf of the 33 million Americans living with potentially life-threatening food allergies.

I just gotta say, I have a ton of people emailing me with their cyber security issues and if you’re thinking of emailing the other Brian Krebs, I don’t believe he has a listed email anywhere, FYI.

Just fine tuned some logging today. If you’re not using. Solution akin to Splunk, Datadog and just relying on Windows Event Viewer, Linux or cloud EQ, you’re not streamlining your problem solving and making it so you can be alerted easily to problems and find out what they are quickly.

So it begins. I’m an Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and I was watching ESPN’s halftime show, and of course they are like it’s Inauguration Day and President Trump has a message for both teams.

30 seconds and he said multiple lies and his usual BS.

Sam Darnold tonight looked like someone who had no run-game, and facing a defense that was better than the entire offense skilled player group.

Feel bad for him as he couldn’t overcome it and some bad habits from his previous stops ( which even worse offenses) have shown.

Trauma is hard.

This is insanely true. And Doctors are scared to be prosecuted for murder of the unborn non-viable pregnancy anymore.

It’s hard to see that this is where we are…

I’m trying to learn #Python for experimenting with some AI programming in my spare time. However, I am a C#/Java/Javascript programmer that doesn’t need ABC’s. Anyone have good resources for learning it?

People citing a fumble b/c of a rookie center in an inconvenient time to crap on Baker Mayfield are just opportunists and haters.

If there is a ‘gap’ between him Mahones it would be the gap between Drew Brees and Peyton Manning.

He’s Great. The Browns analysis was crap.

#Wicked surpassed all expectations I had. Just amazing musical cinimia at its finest.

On the #Browns cont.

It is reported Head Coach of the Year Kevin Stefanski has the least amount of input to players as he wanted them to sign Flacco and was not in the Winston discussion.

Maybe the Haslems are just really incompetent owners. For the foreseeable future I think it’s bleak w/them.

On the #Browns cont.

Who they didn’t want:
3) OC Van Pelt - while he is not doing well in New England this year, he worked with Flacco to revitalize the #Browns on the fly to be a playoff team using a QB coming off a couch.

If NE had a good QB like Flacco I think you would see a decent offense..
December 31, 2024 at 6:57 AM
On the #Browns continued…

Acquired/kept cont.
2) Ken Dorsey forced as OC - as Kevin has no say (collaborative) failed Bills OC was forced on them and they have won 3 games this year with anemic offense, and a poor running game.
December 31, 2024 at 6:50 AM
On the #Browns continued…

Who they have kept/acquired:
1) GM Andrew Berry who, despite is Ivy League edu has made some of the statistically worst draft picks in the NFL & made the worst trade in NFL history for Watson.
December 31, 2024 at 6:48 AM
What I think as a #Browns fan is that you look at who the Haslems didn’t want running the team and where they are now to see if they make good decisions as owners…

1) GM John Dorsey has helped build over the last 4 years the roster of the #Lions

2) QB Baker is in TB leading a team to the playoffs

Flex: NFL has moved the Dolphins-Browns game out of Sunday Night Football in Week 17 and replaced it with Falcons vs. Commanders.

Takeaways:
1) Jeudy is a excellent WR
2) Njoku needs to work the jugs machine
3) Winston cannot put the ball on that much jeopardy. He cost the team 21 points with picks….
4) The Browns play calling is too predictable. Too many jumped routes.
