The niwasakura I planted in a hanging basket is happy so far... more than I can say for the violets.

Dennis, the gecko who lives in my toilet room window, is back for another season! I was hoping he'd return.

Was puzzling over what to do with the tiny pond I failed to raise fish and flowers in last year, which is now a snail breeding ground. Just had the honor of seeing two sparrows stop by for a drink, though, so maybe I'll reconsider the bird bath idea.

Planted flowers on Saturday, got my first butterfly on Monday. A yellow one.
