Também encontrei uma cópia manuscrita do século XIX do panfleto “Conversinha de barco sobre o Brasil” (Brasyls. Schuyt-Praetjen, 1649) e folhas avulsas do livro “Assuntos de Estado e de Guerra” (Saken van Staet en Oorlogh, 1669), de Lieuwe van Aitzema.

Entre os documentos restaurados, há listas de tripulantes que atuavam no Brasil, listas de mercadorias enviadas aos Países Baixos (açúcar, tabaco e pau-brasil) e listas de pessoas escravizadas vendidas no Recife e seus compradores.

O resultado dessa viagem foi um acervo de milhares de páginas, que se tornou a base de inúmeras pesquisas sobre a presença neerlandesa no Brasil.
O restauro está sendo conduzido pela empresa Arte sobre Arte Restauro, que nesta primeira fase trabalha em cerca de 900 páginas de manuscritos.

Entre 1885 e 1886, José Hygino viajou aos Países Baixos, onde adquiriu manuscritos do século XVII e encomendou cópias de textos sobre o período da ocupação neerlandesa no Brasil.
