Finally got all my fall plantings in. Rattlesnake master, meadow blazing star, rose mallow hibiscus, common milkweed, boneset, big & little bluestem. Next up will be extracting seeds from my various other natives to winter sow in December. Had good success last year doing that in solarized areas.

Nice ace/asexual erasure here, my otherwise lovely bird calendar. The “A” stands for “asexual” not “ally.” You want to be an ally, use LGBTQIA properly. I do not consider myself queer. I’m also not a +. How hard is it to put 2 more letters?

I downloaded NASA’s Spot the Station app today as they’re dropping email notices about when the ISS passes overhead. It made a northerly fly by just a few minutes ago.

Find the joy. How about the joy of a 75F day where I can sit on my deck with my cats and enjoy the bird songs. Fixed some hummingbird nectar in anticipation of their arrival soon, as well as rose-breasted grosbeaks, house wrens and Baltimore orioles. 😁

I swear that this is a symptom of a much larger societal problem. Even if you have a shitty car and don’t care if other people hit it when they open their car door, you could at least be decent enough to park so others can comfortably get in their vehicle.

The FBI investigates child sex abuse. This case involved a French surgeon who’s since been accused of raping and abusing HUNDREDS of children. The FBI originally alerted French authorities. But now the FBI is being lead by idiots and I’m sure sex abusers are cheering.
