I'm hoping it evens out because I try not to feed INTO it but instead use it for promoting and helping with free, community resources, volunteering, advocacy and stustainability rofl.

My sister has a shell account she doesn't post to but does the same thing- especially for FB marketplace

It's unfortunately a sad necessity for the spaced-out community I live in (small towns and rural area)- not just with local businesses but for community support groups.

I'm mostly still on FB for our Buy Nothing group, aid groups, library support group, community and family assistance groups etc.
