I hate the party as much as anyone. That said, from a practical standpoint, it would still be easier to primary and replace our shitty leadership than it would be to raise up a viable third party.

Here’s your president, NIMBYs.
January 29, 2026 at 7:06 PM
He’s been a dyed in the wool Zionist his entire political life. But I think the political miscalculation that made his being past his prime evident was being unable to see that what had been a broadly bipartisan position for decades suddenly no longer was.

Certainly AOC. She was Biden’s most effective hype man and for it the Left now talks about her like she’s Amy Klobuchar.
January 29, 2026 at 6:10 PM
Oh I absolutely agree that Biden didn’t get enough credit for his robust and ambitious domestic legislative agenda. I saw someone else describe it as best domestic policy since LBJ unfortunately paired with the worst foreign policy since LBJ.
January 29, 2026 at 6:08 PM
Personally I saw that much more as Bernie and AOC desperately trying to hold the coalition together with their bare hands. And my memory isn’t perfect so I’d be curious what you thought Biden’s overtures to winning over the Uncommitted crowd were. Cause it much comes to mind.

I would argue sending Bill Clinton to Michigan to tell Muslims to get over Gaza was the campaign saying “fuck off and get in line” and right or wrong enough people says ok to the first part and no thank you to the second.
January 29, 2026 at 5:38 PM
I don’t disagree with any of that. I just thing it’s instructive who is expected to sit silently in the big tent and who gets a voice. No one would tell the teachers unions or the CBC to just shut up and vote how you’re told.
January 29, 2026 at 5:36 PM
Doesn’t that cut both ways? Either the Left is just insignificant whiny brats or a sizable constituency that should be courted.

Fair
January 29, 2026 at 4:56 PM
I know you mean the administration and media apparatus, but it’s very funny to see the word polished describing Dubya.
January 29, 2026 at 4:54 PM
You’re absolutely right. Many members of Congress defend Israel’s genocide because of AIPAC money. Biden did it for pure love of the game.
January 29, 2026 at 4:31 PM
It feels very odd for a couple of reasons for you to wield his Blackness as a shield from criticism like he’s just some guy and not one of the most powerful people on the planet.
January 29, 2026 at 3:55 PM
You got me. That’s what I get for typing during school drop off.
January 29, 2026 at 3:52 PM
The biggest political action he’s taken post presidency was breaking up the potential NBA strike over George Flood. He did that for free no problem.
January 29, 2026 at 3:35 PM
He’s one of the most prominent, powerful political figures in America. If he looks around and thinks his time is best spent in Netflix pitch meetings and wind surfing with Richard Branson, that’s certainly his right. But we’re allowed to adjust our assessment of him accordingly
January 29, 2026 at 3:27 PM
That’s a Mt Rushmore Tim Curry performance.
January 29, 2026 at 6:09 AM
Ok dipshit was unkind. But to be fair, your comment was very stupid.
January 28, 2026 at 6:59 PM
The whole point is that ICE didn’t start being bad last January, dipshit. And the Democrats trying to frame it as so will not be a part of an effective solution.
January 28, 2026 at 6:49 PM
We should check, maybe Brett Favre posted something similar.

I’ll always appreciate them for kickstarting my daughter’s love of reading, but mostly because that love of reading has enabled me to show her much better books.
January 27, 2026 at 12:10 AM
Weird, I live in SF and haven’t seen any of that shit and don’t think anyone I know has either.

2003 wants their Republican jokes back.

Oops you lost them there
