Bills, LFC, Mets, Sabres… sometimes the Knicks.
Grav finally the deepest MF! I thought the last few have been a huge difference with him just sitting a little deeper. He was in the passing lanes today and broke up a few promising rushes. All we can ask of him

Manager would be wise to start the Diaz Gakpo rotation we had going forward

I get the sports science piece of you need to focus on Villa, Madrid and City. I also think there is a soft skills situational element that Slot is missing here. Throwing out a team to lose 3-0 at home in the cup has bad optics. There is a difference in doing that away to Plymouth and home to Palace

I know what they want, but he was banking on almost perfect injury luck to get through this season’s demands

Think the question is could the manager have navigated the schedule and matches while giving Morton, Elliot and Quansah more minutes. Ironically all three are good ball progressors, which we lack

My issue is he’s complaining he has a small squad and referencing players City and Chelsea can bring on. He did that part to himself. There were players here and he pushed them out.

Get in the gym or just can’t do it… I feel like he can play there if we have a proper sitter… would change the dynamic of the team. Wonder if the plan was Guehi in a back 3 or to moonlight at the 6 at times

Wonder if he would play Joe there is we had one more healthy CB

Do you think the manager refuses to view Gomez as a right back or he is genuinely concerned about the depth if there is an injury?
October 25, 2025 at 6:29 PM
Dan, it’s going to Grav and Mac again this weekend…

The manager was playing Zaire Emery and Asencio every match. The improvement started once he stopped playing both of them.
October 22, 2025 at 12:38 PM
We don’t have center back cover at the moment, but I can’t help but feel the setup needs Joe at right back to both sit and make progressive passes
October 22, 2025 at 12:35 PM
Going to require some tough decisions from the manager as well. It was mid December when PSG decided on their preferred midfield, jettisoned Asensio from the team, and started working in Doue. Some similar issues even in the French league. Some favorites may need to be left out regularly

Great! Should be easy to fix then
October 14, 2025 at 1:06 PM
Do you think/ have you looked into if this has more to do with the press rather than progression from the back. I can’t recall us creating anything from a high turnover or even at midfield this year.
October 14, 2025 at 12:05 PM
How bad are the counting numbers? Is this happening because they fail to create or fail to prevent? Have you adjusted this to account for only the same fixtures we have played so far this year?
October 14, 2025 at 11:01 AM
Do you think the progression is as big as a problem as the press. Have thought more about the point you made in the pod. Why doesn’t Arne lean into the fact that he does not have the pressers from last year and instead of trying to make them press, we drop in a 4-1-4-1 MB OOP
October 11, 2025 at 3:24 PM
Could go for a tactical pod that discusses what the solution to the problems could be rather than just identifying and talking about the problems

Best I’ve ever seen

He’s never been good on the right… his numbers are skewed by coming in late in games vs worn down teams and playing with a lead in the midfield when he has time on the ball… if you could apply filters to games he starts, it would show something different. He will be sold in the summer
February 27, 2025 at 9:47 PM
Did you watch the Plymouth match?
February 27, 2025 at 8:47 PM
This is a bad idea… have higher aspirations… there is a reason he has played 30 league minutes all year
February 27, 2025 at 8:44 PM
They had 0 big chances. Ollie turned a .19 chance into .83 post shot. 8/10 times we win that match with the same performance. Results skew perception. We probably deserved to draw wolves and win this and it would all net out in the end.
February 20, 2025 at 2:39 AM
Glad you pointed this out. All I have read today is about how we are falling off and we needed to make moves. Process was good on our end. They buried half their chances and we somehow didn’t. I think we are missing Gakpo in the last few.
February 20, 2025 at 2:31 AM
Thought he was good. I was surprised with the online discourse saying he had a bad game
