It was 103 degrees two days ago so when we heard it would be below freezing in the mountains this morning my daughter and I headed up before the sun came up. We even got snowed on. It was great.

In Utah we celebrate the 24th of July as Pioneer Day. At my work we are going to be giving some of these away at the end of the week to Instagram followers for their parties. Mint Cookies at Schmidt's Pastry Cottage.

A lot of people made fun of me when I bought these Hoka (Moon Boot) hiking boots. But I'll tell you my feet, knees, hips and back have never felt better while in the mountains.

We had no ready-made food in the kitchen. My son was starving and I told him I'd make him an egg sandwich. I gave him this is and he was super confused. Don't worry after we laughed I really made one for him.
