100% agree that choosing the right UPS, using an oscilloscope to examine AC ⚡waves, or wiring in a generator can be daunting or expensive, but it's all risk vs. reward. Perhaps it’s better as a “phase 2” once the basics in your guide are running smoothly!

Great guide for anyone starting out! I’d add one critical piece: power protection. A good UPS battery and backup generator isn’t just for spikes or outages—it protects your hardware investment. Also worth budgeting for power consumption, cooling needs, and backup internet options.

Could you share what made you ultimately choose Obsidian? I tested it briefly and it seems overwhelming (I've been using Bear Notes / Apple Reminders on 🖥️/📱 for years.
