I mean, best case here is rested, healthy 37 for the playoffs, should the Jets stay afloat without him, right? I imagine this puts his Olympics in some doubt, even with a full recovery.

Obviously no shame in dropping one to Arizona, but how worried should the BEast be? Georgetown maybe better than expected, but jury very much out on Marquette, in OT with Dayton as I type. Very very early and similar to last year, but it seems like the league needs some marquee wins pretty quick.

I suppose a lot of teams would rather be on defense in a one-point game with under 30 left. But Houston REALLY wants to be on defense.

Made it close. Way too early for a conference to need a win, but the Big East had to be a little on edge there.

Yeah, it's not worth the computing power. And you do NOT want to create incentives to schedule these games in order to improve your computer numbers. Enough of that happening already.

I'd love to see a chart for OBP and SLG as well, to help start to see where the AVG has gone.

A league is going to have get tough here and say "no stats licensing if you offer player props." One does so, others follow. I doubt the state legislatures will do it for them, and I'm not sure they have leverage since the media sphere will accept the gambling ad revenue even if the leagues don't.

In a market where the books wrote the rules, player props might be the most unfair and most dangerous market there is.

This is great. There are a lot of schools inefficiently spending a lot of time and money on football when their best path to recognition is MBB.

Are more teams playing faster the last few years? Be curious about the trend lines for the top (or bottom) 100 tempo teams in terms of number of possessions over the last five years. Just feels like O/Us are sliding up and there are fewer slow, half-court, M2M teams.

Easiest fix here, probably, but this is going to take either federal action from a paralyzed Congress or pushback and organization from state legislatures where the sportsbooks wrote the rules. Do books need NCAA licensing for stats? Seems like the only leverage hoops would have...

"Not a deke" is clearly the winner. Highest leverage possible spot and Yamamoto gets the ball. I was wrong! What a game.

Feels like a deke to me, but I guess we'll see!
