Really nice. In undergrad we used an ATMEGA328P XPLAINED MINI which could help students move between learning ASM and the C equiv. That class currently uses the RP2350.

I do not live like this. I use VScode for all tooling.

* Install platformio.org in VSCode and create a new project, use Arduino framework
* Use maxgerhardt's PIO development platform for pico (tracks the earlephilhower arduino-pico BSP) and replace the platform with this github.com/maxgerhardt/...

If you're buying in bulk, the 240x240 ST7789 displays are a solid option for physical computing projects (data viz, games, tiny/sple UIs)
