I do like how LCCM Theory also accounts for what Evans calls "inter-lexical polysemy," which would give me a way to analyze distinctions between prepositions such as ἀντί and περί.

That's an important distinction I hadn't picked up on. Thanks for pointing out the difference between Evans and Lakoff's respective goals. I'll have to investigate further before choosing one for my study of ὑπέρ.

Peter Bolt, my associate supervisor at SCD, is delivering a paper entitled "The Missionary Movements of Titus." As a "man on the move," Titus pops up often enough in the Pauline corpus, but—interestingly enough—not explicitly in Acts.

What methodology would you suggest for determining distinct senses? I thought Evans was on to something with Principled Polysemy, but he has since refined that approach some with his LCCM Theory/Access Semantics.
