Clearly my new idea of working first thing in the morning is the way to go. After fits and starts last week, I was able to put in two solid hours of very productive work first thing Friday morning. Didn't work on Saturday, but spent most of Sunday doing research, which continues today.

Hard to get used to the 300 character limit. Never did the Muskrat's app, so I'm not used to it.

Starting my *new* career as an indie author by working on non-fiction. A book on technical writing, since it's what I do for the daytime job. Not quitting the day job, but I think there's market for it, and besides, for any future job interview, I can literally say "I wrote the book on it..."

Besides, as a historian, I know that there were a lot of good people who initially supported Hitler because of what they thought he could do for a very desperate Germany, and who later realized their error. For all the evil that Trump has already done, it's barely the start of 1933 in comparison.

Disappointed to find out that one of my heroes has embraced Trump. But since he hasn't made a big deal out of it, and hasn't promoted anything other than the space program in that sense. I'm going to try and just ignore it for now. He's 95 and may well be getting senile for all I know.

Okay, so I'm not sure I understand Bluesky. I never spent any time on Twitter, so I'm not sure how things worked there, only on FB, and LiveJournal before that. Is there normally very little interaction between users here? Unless you say something very witty, or such, I mean.

Trying to decide if I want to go and write the anti-Hitler novel that's in my backlog. It would take a bit of ramp up doing research to remember what I've forgotten from when I sketched it out, but this certainly seems like an apropos time.

Thanksgiving in the US is coming in a couple of weeks.
We almost always have the same thing - standing rib roast, turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, yams, my wife's fantastic stuffing, and asparagus or Brussel sprouts. And rolls.
