Hi all, Brentford FC fan here and decided to try to bring more bees coverage onto the Bluesky.

Premier League, EFL and occasional FPL discussion thrown in!

Will follow back to try to grow a bees community here.
Man U played a poor lineup for them but it waa up to us to take advantage of that.

Apart from a poor first goal we played effectively and gave ourselves a great chance.

We did not need to let them in as much as we did but we got the 3 points and fully deserved them.

Onto Ipswich away.

Bournemouth's win yesterday was annoying in terms of mounting a late European charge, but we still have absolutely put our name in the hat.

For that to be realistic we likely do have to win today, but we're against a side that gave up on the league a long time ago.

Let's get the 3 points today!

Kayode! Plus Rico remains on the bench.

Seeing the two on the pitch together would be lovely!

Lovely point that was!

Worked hard, limited Arsenal. Stayed in it and didn't drop our heads once they took the lead.

Wissa with a lovely finish to a good move and we more than earned that point.

Our good form on the road continues!

A lovely day out...but honestly there isn't much to say about the football.

It looked like a game between two midtable sides with not much to play for. We defended well, as did they, and that was that.

Nørgaard missed that glorious chance but other than that it just felt like a goal wouldn't come.

Standard lineup but a good lineup! Bench starting to look stronger and Ricooo 🔥

Another amazing win today! To think we hadn't won away this season in 2024 and we've now won every away game in 2025 😅

We're a very good side and played a very good side. Bournemouth had their chances, but they didn't take them and we did. Fine margins can swing a game but we fully deserved it!

Morning! Looking forward to today's game! A later kickoff always welcome 🍻

Injury news seems pretty positive with Nørgaard back. DaSilva, Nunes and Thiago all back on the grass and Rico and Hickey in full training.

Could be a very fun end to the season!

I'd say that was a well earned point, against a decent, hard working side.

Frustrating to not get the win, but at the same time we let them in a few times and Flekken did so well on those 1-on-1's.

Everton have been good under Moyes and we stood up to them well. Probably a good point overall. 🤝

And that's how you do it 😁

We are so effective against those teams lower down and that does get you far in this league.

4 away wins on the bounce once we stopped playing the top teams away. Funny how that happens 😅

Brilliant performance and now we can relax going into the weekend!

Good lineup, although no Jensen in the squad 🙁

Hopefully nothing too serious but otherwise we're well set up for tonight.

Come on Brentford!

Winning in 2025 is easy 😅

Another great win! Completely dominated the first half, then held firm when we needed to.

34 points and only looking up now!

On a more positive note, I felt Damsgaard was excellent! Especially in that first half. How important will it be having him on that new contract!

Michael Kayode. Wow he could be very dangerous! Took charge straight away and really tried to make an impact! Impressive for a 20 year old!
February 2, 2025 at 4:11 PM
Frustrating. That was really poor from us. Tottenham didn't look great and they were there for the taking, but Brentford just lacked the quality to do so.

Too many players making wrong decisions, or shooting from silly places. It never felt like we'd score that second half.

Poor day at the office.
February 2, 2025 at 4:07 PM
No Flekken 😬 Still though that gives Valdimarsson a chance to impress!

Ajer back in with 4 at the back!
February 2, 2025 at 1:07 PM
There is a real opportunity today. Our attack can really get at them but we have to be relentless. Don't give them an edge and try to exploit the gaps they'll inevitably leave. Both teams could easily score a couple (at least) so we need to stick at it.

Should be an entertaining one!

As for the double penalty. Rules state that encroaching into the box and clearing it results in a retake. So the correct decision was made.

You can argue the rule is a little harsh, but that's one for the lawmakers rather than the ref or VAR.

Mbeumo got a little fortunate but you take your luck.

Brilliant win that was! Games against Palace are always attritional but we defended very well and took our chances well (second time around!)

No away wins all season and then two in a row! It just needed our luck to change as there wasn't too much wrong with our away approach!

3 brilliant points!

Banana on the @griffinpark.org saying Henry out for a month 😔

Really feel for him if so.
4 at the back with Lewis-Potter at full back. Roerslev stays in the team despite being linked away.

A good lineup, but no Henry in the squad is concerning 😕

Now THIS is good news!

Damsgaard has been incredible this season and extending his contract until 2030 is huge!

A statement contract extension.

I mean, as far as derogatory offers go...

Do they really think this was going to be accepted?
January 21, 2025 at 10:40 AM
Pretty gutted by that! Really felt by the end it was heading for the draw!

No problem with the second goal, you gotta go for it once you fall behind!

We gave a fairly decent game today and on another day could have gotten something there.

Yarmoliuk was strong. Starting to come into his own.
January 18, 2025 at 6:34 PM
Today's lineup! Henry still on the bench.

Similar approach to Tuesday it looks.

Come on Brentford!
January 18, 2025 at 1:48 PM
Wow, wow wow! What a game! What a performance! What a reaction.

I was a bit downtrodden once the game went 0-2, but the players didn't feel that way and kept on fighting to get back into it. Their belief didn't waver and neither did their quality.

Absolutely outstanding performance! What a game!
