As the first day of school approaches, here’s a great reminder that we can be used to be the answer to a parent's prayer.

Tomorrow I have the opportunity to lead a technology training for our district's new elementary teachers. As much as I love tech (and I REALLY do), this quote from Westin Kieschnick will be the foundation of our time together. No device or program is more impactful than the teacher.

Back-to-School Teacher Tip:

Create a "classroom tour" video w/ your phone. Then post it online (e.g., on Microsoft Flip) for incoming students to view. Let them see your room. Let them hear your voice. Imagine the impact this can have on those anxious about starting school.
