I fully agree, @justinwolfers.bsky.social. The best evidence of this is the integrity of those who work at BLS and the number of people involved in producing these figures. When we start seeing BLSers quit in protest, let's be concerned.

Good evening, As most of you are aware, today President Trump asked for BLS Commissioner to be removed from her post. This action was taken in response to the jobs report which was released this morning. COPAFS stands firmly behind Commissioner McEntarfer, the BLS staff, and the data they produce. This action is very damaging and undermines the integrity of federal statistics, and unnecessarily politicizes data which are intended to be independent and trustworthy. This is a watershed moment for federal statistics.
