You mistake the USA for a country of free peoples. Most are held in economic servitude by ever larger corporations. From the cars you must drive to survive, to the news channels to the health costs. The later often ties you to an employer, making job mobility difficult.

Could be a hernia from all the crap he is carrying!

Could the protests lead with manipulation by authorities to violence which would then allow the Trump regime to up the rhetoric and crackdowns which in turn leads to more unrest? At what point before the November elections will this allow a state of emergency to be declared and elections suspended?

And because everyone in the economy uses electricity to produce the cost spreads across the entire economy pushing inflation.

Broncos have 7 premiership wins in 37 years of history! Not sure how that compares, but one every 5 years!

I know, and some with the barriers close to the lanes @ 130km/hr are terrifying to drive on! Any misjudgment and you'd be like a pinball bouncing down the road! The first time I was on a 300+km/hr train next to the motorway I thought the cars were stopped!
September 29, 2025 at 4:27 AM
How many lanes would the freeway need if all those people drove?

I think they have more trains per day from Milan to Rome than we do on the Ferny Grove Line!

Prediction: they will never be found....

Lots of comments on other forums about some guy that the Nazis made a martyr of to further their cause in the early 1930's. I hope history is not repeating!

Fair comment then, very disappointed in Fanning...

He who controls the narrative wins? Napoleon even understood this!

A paradox here though? I have no prior knowledge of the "dick" who got shot ( view formed after shooting). I doubt many Aus commentators have an idea either. Should we celebrate the end of life of a divisive person, who knows what splinters will evenuate? Tightrope walking?

Can i like this twice?

Unfortunately buses, and cars, are unable to move large crowds efficiently. This was why the Olympics were not about stadia, but public transport infrastructure upgrades. This has been totally missed by LNP and the general public. Redlands City considering options as these works are dumped.
September 8, 2025 at 2:07 AM
Yep, I'm gunna fly in from wintery Melb, gleefully jump on a bus for a few stops, then drag my bags down the steps onto the platform to wait for a tram to get to Surfers? BS I'll jump in a taxi. Seriously these people have either never travelled widely, or they have a tiny view of what could be!
September 1, 2025 at 8:08 PM
Yep, pure BCC planning logic, zone a use that attracts loads of people a huge distance from public transport, then whinge about cost to upgrade traffic infrastructure because of increasing traffic?

The Story Bridge was closed for hours on Sat AM for the filming of a Hollywood movie a few months ago. No police presence until you arrived at the bridge, traffic back to the RNA Showgrounds to the north. This cause may somewhat more important to the world than a "Marvel" movie?

Shouldn't he have just been taxed appropriately? Oh that's right this way he can prove what a great guy he is......
Really just tax these people. He just wants to control where his money goes.

A bigger question, why is the UK metric in every sense apart from still using mph?
August 12, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Wouldn't you need to count the mine that sources the coal in that? In Aus they are often 2km wide x 50 km long!

Netherlands spends €500m on bike infrastructure for an estimated €19B saving on health care attributed to better fitness from cycling each year. Perhaps the ABC should report that?

The e-bike issue has become another way to divide the population, same as trans issues etc. Not sure why this has started, but I bet it's to do with someone complaining about the young ruffians going around on e-motorbikes
