For the most part #PresenceMovie functions like a more tactile version of David Lowery’s A Ghost Story (that’s a clear endorsement). But the final (literal) minute reveals a stunning image that recontextualizes not only this film, but maybe any other ghost movie ever made. It’s devastating.

My #Oscars2025 Best Picture Ranking. Only the top 3 made it into my personal top 20 of the year, with Anora and Nickel Boys being in my 10.

Every year there’s at least one film I like WAY more than its consensus. That film this year is #WeLiveinTime, a photo album come to life capturing the fleetingness of losing a partner. Probably would’ve dismissed this if I were still single & in my 20s, thank god I came of age. That carousel horse!
