I love you, you're fantastic, but you're not leaving the house looking like that.
Chris Hedges has an informed take that makes it all the more outrageous that all these deaths of Ukrainians occurred. It was totally unnecessary and uncalled for.
Deeply tragic.
Makes the case in under 5 minutes.

If we assume the quality of her analysis is consistent across files, she's either right on both, or wrong on both. It's unlikely she's right on one and wrong on the other.

How do you view the issue of pharmaceutical payouts to senators? That didn't play really well in the interchange between Bernie and RFKJr.

To be fair, the many lawsuits pending from detransitioners may already have been making them nervous.

Surely some of this would have to be tested in court before being believed straight up. It might be a little overstated.
January 28, 2025 at 8:12 PM
You showed up in my mentions; I didn't go looking for you. And you keep showing up.
January 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM
If anything I said is legally actionable, please don't hesitate to file papers and serve them to me here. I'm more than happy to work this out in court.
January 27, 2025 at 11:58 PM
That's a great idea to form your own communities.
January 27, 2025 at 11:57 PM
You said that already, thanks. I didn't post to have a debate either. I asked a question, which no one has yet answered.
January 27, 2025 at 11:14 PM
Indeed it is. Since you have the complaints, maybe you can clarify.
January 27, 2025 at 11:12 PM
Well yes, you did pop up in the middle of my conversation, demanding I justify, to you, my use of a word in a comment that was not made to you. Great find.

How am I supposed to know when to use a pronoun instead of a noun?
January 27, 2025 at 10:55 PM
You don't have an answer as to when nouns can be used?
January 27, 2025 at 10:47 PM
If nouns have to be replaced with pronouns, then shouldn't you have said "them" or "us" instead of "trans people?"
January 27, 2025 at 6:37 PM
But I didn't use a pronoun at all. I used a noun.
January 27, 2025 at 6:34 PM
What would be a better term?
January 27, 2025 at 7:09 AM
Do you know if the crime the inmate is imprisoned for is what the redacted part is? Or was it not mentioned in the pleadings at all?
January 27, 2025 at 1:23 AM
There will be plenty.
January 23, 2025 at 10:53 PM
Once the precedents are set, everyone uses them.
January 23, 2025 at 5:36 PM
Well, I'm sure you'll draw your own conclusions if you are ever involved one way or the other. It sometimes doesn't seem a big issue until it happens to you.
January 23, 2025 at 6:02 AM
Well, I did offer some Canadian evidence that you could evaluate, where, it's true, we don't have the same laws as in the US, but we have similar ones (free expression, FWIW).
The hangup in this convo is: what is "legit," and how do you determine that if the case doesn't move forward?
January 22, 2025 at 10:20 PM
I'm not sure I see how a claim can be deemed meritless if the plaintiff is unable to have it heard on its merits? In fact, how would the courts define or identify meritlessness if no such cases ever come before them?
January 22, 2025 at 10:02 PM
It is intended to close up one route. As I have seen it play out, it has not completely closed it, while creating a totally new one. From my perspective, it's a "be careful what you wish for" scenario in which only the lawyers win :-)
January 22, 2025 at 9:52 PM
It depends on whether you think someone claiming to have been defamed deserves a day in court to have that heard on its merits.
Anti-SLAPP allows [alleged] defamers to deny [allegedly] defamed plaintiffs their day in court.
January 22, 2025 at 9:41 PM
That may capture the whole problem with anti-SLAPP laws. You can write the legislation with your perfect parties in mind, but you can't control who uses it.
