I've been trying to figure out where this girls nest is for the last few days. I was walking around the property, and Gronk landed by her, letting me know. I don't need any more turkeys, and she's not in a safe place. Gronk got an extra egg.

It's almost time for the bats to return. I lost this guy two years ago and did a photo shot to honor him. The colony that stays over the spring and summer has grown to over 100 in the last few years. They're such great helpers keeping the bug population down.

I'm trying to learn Raven calls. They do a different one that allegedly is affectionate. Gronk did it to me last week for the first time. I'm finding this all very exciting, and I can't wait to see where our friendship goes. The girl is named Gretchen. Ravens mate for life. 😍

I finally finished the cabinet doors today. I think the cane webbing should be a little bit darker, but even with that, I believe it's a huge improvement from white. My anger with Aunt Bev sure does motivate me to get stuff done.

I had big plans to do some laps around my property, but the girls are chilling on my path. I'll leave them even though they spent the whole day yesterday punking the puppies.

I just recently found out that crows and ravens like eggs. Now I can reward them for all the hard work they do keeping my chickens safe from hawks.
