IN A STURDY BOX OR BACKPACK STORED IN AN EASILY ACCESSIBLE SAFE PLACE LIKE A CLOSET OR BASEMENT. IT'S ALSO NEVER A BAD IDEA TO HAVE A SMALLER "GO BAG" IN YOUR CAR. Q: WHY IS HAVING AN EMERGENCY KIT EVEN NECESSARY? THE MORE SELF RELIANT YOU CAN BE IN AN EMERGENCY, THE BETTER! IT CAN BE HELPFUL TO QUICKLY HAVE EXTRA SUPPLIES IN A SCENARIO LIKE A FIRE OR FLOOD BUT EVEN WITH UNEXPECTED JOB LOSS OR RECESSION. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR POC, LGBTQ+, AND MARGINALIZED COMMUNITIES AS THEY TEND TO BE THE MOST VULNERABLE IN THESE SCENARIOS. USE YOUR COMMUNITY, MAKE PLANS WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY, REACH OUT TO YOUR ELDERLY AND DISABLED NEIGHBORS! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
