Well, at the moment we are _functionally_ a dictatorship because the various branches of government with the power to check the president and his administration are refusing to do their job and are instead complicit in his criminal activities.

Altho I will say that our current government in the US is in violation of the law and construction - which does mean they are engaged in criminal activity. But that's because the US is not a dictatorship, no matter how much they want to pretend we are.

That third definition seems to be about what ppl think _should_ be illegal, not what actually is illegal (and thus a crime).
Ppl have a lot of ideas about what should be illegal. And most of the time, there's a reason those things are not actually illegal.

Movies and TV shows do the same thing, albeit less effectively IMO.
Video games are excellent for immersing someone into a storyline and characters as you literally play a character in the game. That said, there's a reason FPS games are the most popular - you don't need to think or feel, just react

Most gas station cameras in the US are really low quality. I doubt they had good enough resolution to be of any assistance.
I've worked in several gas stations over the years. Even the cameras inside were terrible quality.
