I’m at writing conference listening and this guy talking about crafting memoir in essays. And I thought of you. Though you got ten years on him.

I urge everyone to call your state legislator to let them know you’re against vouchers and any legislation that takes money from our public schools. And instead, do right by our educators and children and fully fund our public schools.

You did an amazing job asking the hard questions. I was there for 14 hours but glad I got to say my piece.

14 hours but I did it.

I just waited 14 hours in Texas to speak against vouchers and meanwhile the federal government did this ensuring I probably won’t have a job next year supporting students in foster care and experiencing homelessness. Get me out of here. And back home to Massachusetts.
