favourite place - the abandoned and depressing atmosphere of Burmecia - a city ravaged by war and deserted by its inhabitants - it's impossible for me NOT to compare with Dark souls and Elden Ring environments. It's haunting and it's not something I expected in this game.

Having non-evil rat people in fantasy took me by surprise, since skavens and the likes became so common now.

A good balance between classics and modern releases this year, and a lot of new favourites.
I was extremely impressed by Anouck Faure and Nghi Vo's writing and will basically read everything they write from now on. Very excited for Aatea, new Anouck Faure's release this January.
