I'm nervous for the future. We can create a different society if enough of us want to. We, the workers, can do anything we collectively put our minds and backs to.
If you read the transcript, rather than watch this section of the episode it's clear what Tim is doing. Then you see it more and more throughout his content. That interview is worth watching if you want to understand tim's tactics.

When Sam is asking Tim about abortion bans and laws repeatedly and not letting Tim slip by with his weaselly vague answers Tim starts grasping for anything. He accuses Sam of just trying to get clips and being emotional.

What really gets me is even if they got their way and 20 million people were removed when all the problems they think that would solve were worse their media ecosystem would find a way to make the narrative not about reflection but "the radical left" actually preventing it from happening correctly.

7. People like these think that massive, complex, problems in the USA would be solved by "removing" (never mind the logistical nightmare that would be) anywhere from 10 to 20 million people from our country. they're convinced those people being here are the issue.

6. They are so sure of this that during the last third of the episode they say they want “all 20 million scooped up” and “flown to our enemies” as though our "enemies" would have to allow the planes to land and then allow the passengers to disembark and roam free... so disconnected from reality.

5. They “know” these people are either directly hurting the country by killing and raping American’s at rates “we’ve never seen before” or indirectly by taking welfare and increasing the cost of housing.

4. These men “know” that a massive number of what they call “illegals” but are asylum seekers, people who have overstayed their visas and possibly Americans who are married or are the children of the illegals is in the 10s of millions.
December 11, 2024 at 7:42 AM
3. There are plenty of intelligent, young/middle aged American men that strongly believe that refugees seeking asylum are the same as undocumented migrants.

2. I admire Hutch’s patience. If Woody’s main revenue source is PKA then I understand his but if it’s not he is unhuman with his patience. Because it's clear the other dudes have done zero reading abt this outside of twitter/discord/reddit @fpsrussia.bsky.social @woodysgamertag.bsky.social

He understands that if we can't stand united on a situation that is black and white we won't be able to be united in favor of the people of Gaza. This gives Bibi much more breathing when it comes to both his rhetoric and military action.
December 9, 2024 at 10:11 AM
Bibi watched as Putin stole Crimea and the USA did nothing about it. He also watched the US response to Putin straight up invading Ukraine. He see's we aren't unified on Ukraine and that even when we give them support it's limited for a limited amount of time.

That must be a joke. They can't be serious.

We just don't have space to add the safety of CEOs to the triage list. If we can complete/solve some of our issues maybe then we can worry about CEOs being gunned down, maybe.
December 8, 2024 at 9:39 AM
There are many issues in the USA. There are enough that we have to do triage and decide what needs our attention. IMO as a society we can have maybe 500 balls in the air, depending on the severity or the issue, at a time.

They have been doing the whole library thing, first with school and then public ones. Teachers are now seen as the enemy. The whole thing breaks my heart. This will damage our society for generations and they are happy about it bc they don't see it as damage.

They use to make fun of educators and the educated (meanwhile so many of rightwing pundits have multiple degrees from prestigious schools) and say people shouldn't send their kids to collage. Now the level of hate is to the point that they are trying to close departments in our gov.
December 7, 2024 at 8:09 AM
The USA has always had an undercurrent of
anti-intellectualism. I haven't read any books on it so the following might be wrong. To me the anti-intellectualism seems more popular and more hate filled than any other time this century.

It feels good to be seen as a human by other humans, again.
