A fascinating phenomenon, & podcast. Its interesting that at least in part gooning has it’s origin story in the pandemic. Growing up in the 80’s i watched the Aids Pandemic scare people away from sex & the 60s/70s sexual revolution & into creating all kinds of fetish communities.

On the face of it if you are inclined to think this is hyperbolic think again about the influence & ability to do terrible things combined with the opportunity to do horrific things and the scope of the harm makes Nancy pretty damned correct about that.
