As an Assistant Coach for the Regina Red Sox, I will knowingly confront an Umpire to protect my players or challenge a bad call. I know I will be ejected from a game but prioritize my players and will "abuse" officials if needed.

Neck guards in hockey protect players from cuts and dangerous accidents like this one. Players choose not to wear them because of "comfort" and "style"

Jessica Campbell is an assistant coach for the Seattle Kraken. She is the first woman to become part of an NHL coaching staff, breaking the barrier that women do not belong in men's sports. She has received lots of hate online, that she should be coaching in the PWHL.

Sarah Nurse, who plays in the PWHL but also has competed in multiple IIHF Championship tournaments and Winter Olympic Games. Winning a silver and gold medal for Canada. She is cousins too Kia Nurse who is an Olympic WNBA player.

Right now I coach for the Regina Red Sox in the summer, it’s a very physically active position. Once I’m done my degree I would like to continue to work within semi pro, or pro sport organizations as I love sports and the positions lead to an active life style.

This is a great article. I do believe that youth sports teach many positive life skills but there are many negatives not addresses. Many things such as rookie initiations, poor coaching, pressure on families or kids especially with they large amounts of money poured into them.

Going for a walk as an activity is leisure as you get exercise and freedom to explore as you want. Walking is not a sport. To me what makes walking not a sport is the absence of rules, boundaries, and skill development. You can get better at walking but anyone can walk, no real skill involved.
