I chose Lyn because I do like her as a character, I liked how her Moveset turned out, and because I wanted to do 10 sword characters in a row as a joke.

And that's fine if you do. It simply wasn't a joke for you while being a joke for different people.

I did have worries about taking the bit to far, I even toned it back from my original script, but when I had eyes on it before posting, and was told to keep it.

Story-wise, it doesn't make much sense for Bonnie to be playing video game all day if she's trying to find her missing brother. Bonnie is generally a very go-getting kind of character.

Clemont went missing, "they got him" according to some NPCs in the game who bring this up, and that Bonnie's been looking for him ever since.
It also doesn't help that there are literal baby pictures of Canari in her home. And she looks nothing like Bonnie.

And that explains why Clemont went missing. Good for her.
