The Green got into STH Brisbane because the LNP preferenced them over Labor (to remove Jackie Trad).
This time they didn’t and Green lost the seat.

I’ve read your post. It’s pointless.

Primaries rarely win elections and certainly not this one. So what was the point you were trying to make?
The point I was making was that Labor would prefer a conservative win over the Greens.

What are you talking about? The primaries are not the decider on this. The ex Labor candidate preferenced (HTV) the Lib candidate over the Greens and handed them the seat.

Yeah, people who would have voted Labor would have rather a Lib candidate than a Green.

With Labor (supposedly) not running a candidate. The 2 party options were Lib & Grn. Where would your preference end up?

But the (ex) Labor candidate preferenced the Libs. So, not surprising.

The Greens still stand for the environment.
February 9, 2025 at 1:18 PM
So, you’d vote for the Libs?

Exactly. I’m don’t have the training or qualifications in the very complex areas of science that often get discussed.
I can look for things like reputable sources, sample sizes etc, but beyond that I accept that I’m in the very lowest dip of the Dunning Kruger curve.
