Getting back to this two months later to say that so far Zeta Gundam rules.

Anyways! Onto Zeta Gundam.

Were just more impactful. Like playing Yakuza 0 first. I had some interesting foreshadowing for the show in a way that I think could be spoilers but for me gave it more dramatic weight.

Wasn’t perfect, and it suffers from some of the same shit a lot of those shows that were made to sell toys do, and the ending felt abrupt in a strange way.

I also watched The Origin before 0079 and it made some of the stuff in ‘79 hit a lot more. Characters like Ramba Raal and the battle in Texas

I didn’t realize OG Gundam was such a game of cat and mouse between the Federation and Zeon. It’s also full of some real devastating stuff between the colony drop and using solar rays to cook an entire fleet. The melodrama generally worked for me too.

“I’m dressed like Tony Chopper but I make soap.”

“I know I’m dressed like a clown, but I’ll do awful things to them.”

“Witcher, are labubu a contract you’ll accept?”

“I’ll kill a labubu for free.”

What do you mean those last two didn’t make sense? Mango was like “might go”. People don’t say they’re going to bury hours into a game either? Well shit. What about kiwis?
