MA student in Linguistics. Bad at science. Sometimes I draw pictures, please don't steal them, or you'll make me sad. Sometimes I say crazy things, don't worry, I just didn't go to sleep that day.
But like.... imagine a Dönerteller without Döner Kebab adjacent anything. Just coleslaw, salad, and fries. No protein, just the side veggies and maybe goat cheese. Thats how I feel when I see Banh Mi Bowls.

I'm not even trying to gatekeep anything here, "Banh Mi" is just bread, people have asked me how to make a "real" Banh Mi and I tell them theres some meats and veggie combinations that are common, but its not really "wrong" if they just put liver pate and some cucumber slices on a baguette.

There is already a dish out there that is what these recipes call "a modern twist to the traditional Banh Mi Sandwich", please just learn to make Bun Thit Nuong and don't invent more words that get more popular than another thing that is already 95% of what you are inventing right there.

I guess I'll just mount all folders and use the terminal from now on because I keep stepping into these ridiculous boobytraps

As a kid I didn't understand why some other Asian kids would dye their hair blonde, but now I understand it's because they don't want to be singled out like this because not everyone is willing to pretend no one is looking at you when you enter the room.

This goes reverse too: Once I was visiting my family and there was a German man frequenting their cafe and they all asked me if I knew him. He was from Southern Germany and the moment I said one word he laughed "Ach Gott, ein Rheinländer"

"The causer is realised as an oblique argument" -- does it count if the causer isn't there on paper but they are in my head, my heart, my memory-

I have never thought about it in this way, because kids back in school would say I was entitled for being more critical of my own drawings, but this would explain a lot in regards to generated images-

Sometimes when you encounter these moments in real life, where the other person genuinely believes the tech isnt that flawed, I often dont know where to start to tell them about it despite not having used this thing ever, but having been sent enough from other people to know.
