this isn't the best when you're running something in watch mode though, which I probably do most of the time for work with a vite server. for that i'm probably still using tabs

i'm also trying to get myself to use C-z to suspend nvim, run something (i.e. compile), and then hop back into nvim with fg. possibly a bit more convenient than having to remember binds to switch tabs, hard to tell yet

this has been pretty good so far. the only thing I miss from tmux is the persistent sessions so I can close my terminal, open a new one, and still be right where I was
