10 years ago today I went to the chemo ward with my dad and it was so dreary with the news that one of our most iconic musicians had passed of the same illness everyone in that room was fighting… only thing that brought joy during that time was the cbb “David’s dead” incident really

Productive Sunday before going back to work. Homemade sausage rolls done for the packed lunch, big pot of lentil soup made n currently just finishing off my beef joint for a roast Sunday dinner. 10/10 love having a Sunday off!

Fantastic day today collecting for my local foodbank, so many generous souls out there and will make such a big different to those experiencing food poverty in our local community this Christmas time!

I know I’m getting old bcos I’m planning on giving a food hamper as a gift this Christmas, and I’m beyond excited to actually make it (and throw in some home grown pickled onions and gherkins)

on here to say if you have access to a local library, get a library card!! it helps with library funding and also a lot of libraries allow you to read ebooks via an app called Libby (you can also send those ebooks to your kindle!!!)

A lot of the people I am working with just now are fantastic knitters and make themselves all sorts from hat, blankets, cardigans etc and I’m jealous! Anyone got any tips for someone looking to learn how to knit self-taught? Good needle sizes for beginners?
