Took a few tries, but I finally got electric etching down! Switched to electrical tape as a resist, and then painted the etched part black for contrast.

Learning a new skill - electric etching (what's shown is just step 2...not etched yet) I want to make tags for the Star Wars bags to show they are limited edition, high quality, and have my logo on it

I found I can use watered down leather dye to weather this bright yellow pebble grain to give it that dirty used look. ✂️🧶

The laser doesn't always cut all the way through chrome tanned leather (upholstery stuff). In these cases, I have to carefully cut along the score lines with a razor knife. ✂️🧶 #leatherwork #lasercutting
