And I heard that they were arranging to make one years ago, but it never materialised due to a dispute about fair compensation for the actors.

They will absolutely be doing a proshot on the WE - they’re only there for a month, no reason to bring them all back otherwise. Few weeks to warm up, a week to shoot.

Our theatre is acceptable, probably because it’s cheaper, but our actors aren’t? When they didn’t even get a complete live album recording even? yeah, I have mixed feelings about this.

It will be exciting to get a proshot finally, but I’m…deeply conflicted at best, because it feels like the West End cast has been royally disrespected? None of the principles even got to stay for a year, they’re being shuffled off just before their anniversary.

Thank you!!! 🥰

Also, it’s fascinating to consider someone with Duanno’s style of voice but the post-National Orpheus characterisation…the smooth, rich vocals but not attached to the swagger and confidence that made him a bit harder to sympathise with.

Woah, never thought I’d hear that 🤯 - what a huge compliment; like, I think Grace did a great job as Eurydice in London, but no one has ever touched Eva for me, the only role from BW that the WE didn’t surpass…Maia must be insanely good. May have to look for some more boots.

I’ve only ever seen studio recorded songs from Fisher, is his falsetto as bright on stage? And he gives Orpheus a kind of rock star quality in the recordings I’ve seen, is that how he plays him in the theatre? It’s so unique and interesting, really makes him stand out!

I’m so glad you got to see Fisher! I remember you talking about how much you wanted to a while back 🙌 love it when people’s theatre dreams come true!

Cannot wait for the West End recording to drop so more people can experience Dónal’s performance 😭 seeing him live was the best two days of my life!

No disrespect intended to Mr Carney or anyone else, but Dónal is divine and chthonic all at once; he let the darkness of the underworld seep into him on that stage, but was never darkened by it. It’s really hard to explain 😭 but it’s truly Orphic.

I just....gods, this musical has touched me and inspired me in a way that no other musical has. I could see it every single day and not get bored.

It reminds us that we should still try, and have hope, and fight, even if we fail. Hadestown is inspirational, and even though it's a tragedy, we sing it again and again. Every time we see the musical, are we not inspired and moved by the end?

I do love the show itself, yes; long before I knew Orpheus was literally alive in the here-and-now and literally from Cork. My derangement about That Boy is a new and thrilling psychosis, as we have discussed 😫

In large part it’s because he made part of the show LIVE in a way I’d never felt before.
