This is no different than math teachers railing against calculators. "If part of that process is outsourced to a calculator, they're not developing the full suite of skills..." It is a tool. Tools are not good or bad. Teach them how to use the tool properly, don't ban the tool.

It's playing at one theater on the outskirts of Portland, Oregon. Sadly, it is about a 30 mile drive from where I live, so don't think I'll be making that drive.

As someone who lives 15 minutes from Portland, and works in downtown Portland, I am not even sure where he is pretending there is a problem. Even the protests in front of the ICE facility are miniscule compared to the ones 4 or 5 years ago.

For my son's 20th birthday we rented out a local theater and played Clue. If I were anywhere close to this event I would be there. Sadly, I live too far away. But anyone in the area who can go, should. Such a fun movie.

I really wish people would mention the thing they are talking about in their comments because I end up seeing multiple posts talking about something I have no idea what they are discussing and it can be very confusing.

It isn't moving the goal post. The current administration is doing this. So, unless you think Harris would have done the same thing, there is almost no way they could be worse. Anyone not against what ICE is doing is not someone whose opinion I want to hear.

I'll gladly stay in my "echo chamber" of people who don't think it is perfectly fine to kidnap people off the street and send them to foreign prisons to be tortured.

In 5th grade, which was about 45 years ago now, my teacher wrote his own Christmas song for a school Christmas show thar our class had to perform. I can still sing the chorus to that song even though it probably hasn't been performed by anyone in the 45 years since he wrote it.

I had a Geo Metro model that got 45mpg and I drove that thing for about a decade before I sold it for something more appropriate for a family after I had kids. I loved that car.

Your 47% is wrong. Even if you base that on election results, that was only the percentage of people who voted. He got less than a third of eligible voters and less than a quarter of the total population.

There are two companies that make girl scout cookies. The Portland and Southwest Washington girl scouts switched from one to the other this year. So, they are slightly different. Seattle is still using the original company, so I am going to be grabbing some while I am up there this weekend.

If these clubs are banned, but others are not, then it has nothing to do with money. Don't make excuses for reprehensible behavior.
